# Software for court reporters and the agencies behind them.

Built by the people who produce the record. The reporter certifies. The software never does.

*The waitlist form is not reproduced here. A person joins at https://depostack.com/#waitlist: it is for the person themselves, with their own consent, and may ask for a human check (Cloudflare Turnstile) and confirmation by email, so an agent should send the person there rather than submit it for them. See https://depostack.com/auth.md.*

## Three workflow shifts worth a closer look.

AI review, recording resilience, and software portability. Use the guides and tools to make a more informed next decision.

1. ### AI assists. The review stays yours.

Keep source audio, rough drafts, and certified transcripts distinct. Decide where assistance belongs before adopting a new workflow.

Decide what you will check yourself.

[Read the transcript review guide](https://depostack.com/blog/state-of-transcript-review-2026/) [Practice scoping and proofreading](https://depostack.com/training/art-of-the-transcript/)
2. ### Remote work needs a recovery plan.

Map the audio route, name the backup, and test the handoff. Choose a setup for the job and the recording method your rules permit.

Test the backup before the proceeding.

[Read the equipment field guide](https://depostack.com/blog/court-reporting-setups-by-job/) [Build a job-specific setup checklist](https://depostack.com/tools/setup-picker/)
3. ### Choose a workflow you can carry forward.

Check whether you can move your dictionaries and documents, what help is available, and what switching will cost. Try the software with work like yours before choosing.

Check what you can take with you.

## Software decisions look different from inside the workflow.

I started DepoStack after years of watching skilled professionals compensate for repeated entry, weak handoffs, and tools that made ordinary work harder than it needed to be.

## Questions.

Not answered here? [Email Andrew](mailto:me@andrewmayes.com)

**What is DepoStack?**

DepoStack is a software company building focused tools for court reporters, legal videographers, reporting agencies, and legal teams. Exhibits is in Preview. Transcript, Video, Live, and Channels are Planned; Transcript and Video have waitlists for updates. DepoAudio is available as open source, and CasePrompts is in Preview.

**What do the product status labels mean?**

Available means you can use it today. Preview is an early version with limits explained on its product page. Private beta is testing by invitation. Early access means you can join a waitlist. Planned means we are still designing or building it. Joining a waitlist gives you updates, not an app to try or a promised release date.

**Will DepoStack replace the court reporter?**

No. The reporter stays the certifying authority, and no DepoStack tool certifies a transcript. The software prepares, aligns, and flags; a professional reviews and decides.

**Is DepoStack a court reporting agency?**

No. DepoStack makes software. It does not schedule or supply court reporters.

**Which reporting methods are you building for?**

We are building for stenographic reporters, voice writers, digital reporters, and legal videographers. Each product page will explain which computers and file types it works with after testing.

**Can I take my work with me?**

We want you to be able to take your work with you. Before each product launches, we will explain which files you can open and save, where your work is kept, how long it is kept, and what can be deleted.

**How will pricing work?**

Before we charge for a product, we will explain its price, how often you pay, how to cancel, and what happens when testing ends. There is nothing to buy on this site today.

We write only when there is something concrete to share.
