## October 2026

1. Oct 15, 2026

Product motion teasers are hidden while they await review. The product pages and their other content remain available.
2. Oct 15, 2026

Support now shares the website’s menus, themes, and page style, with guides and a clearer request form. Private ticket sign-in still needs service setup; guides and an email link are available in the meantime.
3. Oct 13, 2026

The Exhibits preview header now shows the app capture lying on the gold Exhibits plate, with the exhibit sticker lifting off the spot where the app placed it.
4. Oct 13, 2026

A free interactive course, The Art of the Transcript training: six short lessons of practice with invented transcript pages and computer-generated audio, each answer with its rule and source, linked from the footer, the Field Notes menu and the freelance reporters page.
5. Oct 13, 2026

A new Field Note, The Art of the Transcript: how scopists, proofreaders and reporters scope and proofread a US deposition or court transcript, from the passes and the research to the hard cases and the final check, with every claim sourced.
6. Oct 13, 2026

Four more free tools for freelance reporters: a rate sheet to print or copy, a turnaround date calculator in calendar or business days that skips the closed dates you add, a job and page log with monthly and yearly totals and CSV export, and an errata sheet to print. Each keeps its entries in your browser and nowhere else.
7. Oct 13, 2026

Each product page has a small demo to try on sample data: mark an exhibit, read a sample draft with its flagged word, or set a page-line range for a clip. Every Field Note section in “In this note” now has its own icon.
8. Oct 13, 2026

Pages change instantly where your browser supports it. Field Notes can be searched from the header (Ctrl or Cmd K) or the Field Notes index. A glossary explains 47 court reporting terms, and the website updates page lists each change.
9. Oct 13, 2026

Review by DepoStack is now Transcript by DepoStack, at /transcript/. Old links to /review/ lead there.
10. Oct 13, 2026

Free tools for court reporters at /tools/: a transcript invoice estimator and an exhibit number planner. They need no account and keep what you type in your browser. A page for freelance court reporters gathers the tools and the notes most useful to them.
11. Oct 12, 2026

AI assistants can look up published Field Notes and product availability through a read-only connection called MCP. It cannot join the waitlist for anyone.
12. Oct 12, 2026

Field Notes cite their sources with numbered marks. Each number links to its source at the foot of the note, and back.
13. Oct 11, 2026

Field Notes read as one flow on phones and tablets: the drawing sits beside the key takeaways, and “In this note” becomes a bar under the header that names the section you are reading. On very wide screens the page stops widening, and on notched phones it keeps clear of the notch.
14. Oct 11, 2026

Every checkable claim in the Field Notes now cites a primary or authoritative source, read on October 11. Each published note gained figure plates drawn from its own sourced words.
15. Oct 11, 2026

On a desktop, each menu now opens under its own link. The Field Notes index groups notes by series.
16. Oct 11, 2026

Pages have text-only copies for AI assistants. Public reference files explain what the site offers and make clear that a person must join the waitlist.
17. Oct 11, 2026

Correction: a Field Note now gives Andrew’s tenure at Executive Reporting Service as about six years.
18. Oct 11, 2026

The three State of 2026 Field Notes got their own drawings and share cards.
19. Oct 11, 2026

Products and Field Notes gained menus: a ruled panel on a desktop and a full-height sheet on a phone, each product with its state.
20. Oct 11, 2026

Published three State of 2026 Field Notes, on exhibit marking, transcript review and deposition video sync. The header now stays in reach as you scroll, and the waitlist form shows its fields a step at a time.
21. Oct 10, 2026

The homepage now speaks to court reporters and agencies, and each module page gained a parts list and answers to common questions.
22. Oct 10, 2026

depostack.com was redesigned as a drafter’s assembly drawing, and the modules took their “… by DepoStack” names. System Info, the free help-desk snapshot tool, moved to /system/, and retired addresses redirect to their new pages.
23. Oct 10, 2026

Pages paint sooner: each page carries its own styles, so the first paint waits on the page alone.
24. Oct 9, 2026

The privacy notice now names Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies, and the site’s security policy allows it.
25. Oct 9, 2026

Fixed waitlist email confirmation: confirming from the review page had been refused, so addresses stayed unconfirmed. A link used twice now says the address is already confirmed.

## August 2026

1. Aug 28, 2026

Built double opt-in for the waitlist: product and research updates go only to an address its owner has confirmed by email.
2. Aug 27, 2026

Added Andrew’s hand-drawn portrait, and a real screenshot of the exhibits app running on synthetic data, labelled as such.
3. Aug 27, 2026

Product pages moved to addresses that match their module names, with permanent redirects from the old ones.
4. Aug 27, 2026

The waitlist records your consent on the server, with the exact words you agreed to, and limits repeated or automated sign-ups.
5. Aug 26, 2026

The waitlist was rebuilt: no account, a few questions about your role and workflow, explicit consent and a privacy notice.
6. Aug 26, 2026

Every Field Note got a drawing of its own.

## July 2026

1. Jul 19, 2026

Each tool’s status now comes from one lifecycle model, so its state reads the same on every page.

32 changes since July 19, 2026.
